A Season to Remember: SCT Closes Out in Lausanne
Our elite team wrapped up the season at the Sommer Schweizermeisterschaft in Lausanne, and what a way to finish. Ten swimmers took to the blocks representing SC Thalwil — and they delivered 10 Top 10 finishes by age category, capping off a year of steady growth and hard-earned progress.
Giuliano Paulon — Silver in the 200BR The standout moment of the meet belonged to Giuliano Paulon, who claimed a brilliant silver medal in the 200BR. What makes it even more remarkable: Giuliano wasn’t at full health going into the meet, yet he still fought his way into the Top 10 in every single event he entered — 50BR, 100BR, 200IM, and 400IM. A true display of resilience.
Quentin Krieg — All-Around Excellence Quentin Krieg put together one of the most complete meets on the team, posting 4 personal bests and 3 Top 10 placements across the 200FR, 100FR, and 50BR. Sprint freestyle, distance, and breaststroke — Quentin continues to prove himself one of the most versatile swimmers in the squad. Oliver Salmon — Rising to the Hard Races
Oliver Salmon capped a season of continuous improvement with a terrific meet: 2 PBs and 2 Top 10 finishes, in the 200Fly and 400IM — two of the most demanding events in the sport. His trajectory this year has been one of the club’s brightest storylines.
Cyril Jaeger — Sprint Power Cyril Jaeger notched 2 personal bests, in the 100 Free and 100 Fly, and backed it up with two strong relay splits in the freestyle relays — a great example of individual form translating directly into team results.
Jack Mercury — Building Toward NSM Our youngest swimmer, Jack Mercury, picked up a PB in the 200Fly, a strong signal ahead of his upcoming participation at NSM.
Lea Keller — A Strong Debut The newest addition to the club, Lea Keller, made an immediate impact with 3 B-Finals — in the 50BR, 100BR, and 200BR. A great first statement from Lea, and we’re excited to watch her grow next season.
Team Effort — Matteo Paulon, Til Erzinger, Alice Lantz & Jana Schneider Beyond the individual highlights, we want to recognize the commitment and hard work of our student-athletes Matteo Paulon, Til Erzinger, Alice Lantz, and Jana Schneider, who between them raced a staggering 17 events, including 2 relays — carrying real weight for the team across the meet. Congratulations to the entire elite team on a fantastic close to the season.
